The best transport links in town
With a city centre location, the Hippodrome is 5 minutes walk from New Street Station and 15 minutes walk from Moor Street Station. We’re also easily accessible from the M6 and M5 motorways and all major routes in to Birmingham. Birmingham International Airport is 20 minutes away by train.

Birmingham Hippodrome is an independent not-for-profit charity reinvesting in building a better future through arts and culture. Any surplus we make from events helps to fund Hippodrome Projects – our own curated programme of indoor and outdoor live performance, community work and transformational learning projects that help more people experience arts and culture.

Featured Theatre Takeover: Anniversary Gala celebrating 120 years of Birmingham Hippodrome In June 2019, we celebrated 120 years of Birmingham Hippodrome with a complete theatre takeover at our sparkling flagship event. The evening began with a performance on Hippodrome Square, then guests walked the red carpet through our decorated foyers. After a drinks reception, guests were then ushered into the auditorium and took their seats on the Hippodrome stage for a sumptious three-course meal and stellar performances from stars of the stage past and present. The evening was followed by and after party in the Patrick Studio. “What a wonderful evening, we all had a great time. We attend a number of work related events every year but this was up there with the best. The service, the food, the entertainment and the after-party were all simply first rate. The brand association for BCEC alongside Laurent-Perrier and the Hippodrome worked so well.” |
