Information

Our fantastic ZooNation Youth Company present The B-SIDE – a dynamic new Hip-Hop show as part of B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival.

We also welcome special guests Sign Criminal on Sat 4 May and première new works as part of a B-SIDE Scratch Night on Mon 6 May.

ZYCBrum presents The B-SIDE

Let us introduce you to a community of individuals who move and see the world in black and white – each with their own way of moving. This is the way it is and this is the way it has always been.

One individual who’s a little different from the rest understands the way everyone else moves but can’t help thinking there has to be more. She doesn’t fit in – she’s individual, has imagination and desires to colour the world in.

She discovers The B-SIDE, a step into everything she could have imagined and more. The sound on this side is different, it’s packed full of sounds and instruments she’s never experienced before. She can’t resist but to go with it, to see where the rainbows and trees of The B-SIDE take her.

But will she heed the advice of our outcast MC who has been to The B-SIDE before when he warns that not all is as it seems? Will she help the community see in colour or become an outcast herself? Find out when we visit The B-SIDE this May with our ZooNation Youth Company, made up of 15 of the most talented Hip-Hop dancers in Birmingham aged between 10 and 20.
