We feel passionately about dance here at Birmingham Hippodrome. Be it international artists, local groups, companies or schools, we want to spread the word about how dance can inspire lives and bring people and communities together.
We’re therefore delighted to welcome Dance:Sampled to our building. A night where we showcase the best of local as well as international dance in all its forms right here in our foyers and on our main stage.
Arrive at 6.30pm and join in with or watch the FREE pre-show foyer acts, films and have-a-go sessions. Local dance clubs will be on hand so you can sign up for classes and find out more.
Once the curtain goes up you will experience taster programmes from contemporary artists Aakash Odedra Company, Acosta Danza and Richard Alston Dance Company. There will be a performance by BBC Young Dancer of the Year Connor Scott, tango from Julia Urruty & Claudio González, ballet from our very own Birmingham Royal Ballet and Hip-Hop from Iron Skulls Co.

Dance: Sampled is part of The Movement, a dance producing partnership between Birmingham Hippodrome, The Lowry and Sadler’s Wells. Supported by Arts Council England, The Movement aims to nurture talent and bring large scale dance productions to even wider audiences.
