Information

“All animals are equal… but some animals are more equal than others.”

Set in a world of fake news, party-gate, cancel culture and the curtailing of free speech, this is Animal Farm, reimagined.

With the disarming folk tone of the original story mashed up with contemporary musical theatre and pop, this brand new musical brings George Orwell’s epic novella into 2024.

British Youth Music Theatre is the UK’s leading creator of new musicals. This show will bring together young performers and musicians from across the country to share a well-known fable, retold by the teenagers of today.

Experience political pigs, singing horses, corrupt farmers and everyday workers, pitted together in choreographed protests.

Though Animal Farm was originally used as an allegory for Stalin’s brutal dictatorship, in this new musical version, it’s not hard to find similarities closer to home…

BYMT alumni includes: Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Charlotte Ritchie, Dean Johnson, Grace Mouat, Jamie Muscato, Amara Okereke, Mei Mac and Bradley Jaden.
