Ballet BC present a stunning triple bill, choreographed by three internationally acclaimed female choreographers.
Emily Molnar’s 16+ a room is inspired by writers Jeannette Winterson and Emily Dickinson. The choreography is a study of time, transition, and stillness, where space between is as important as the space occupied.
Premiered by Batsheva (IDFB 2012), Sharon Eyal’s Bill shifts from larger to smaller groups; which morph seamlessly into breathtaking solos.
Sadlers Wells Associate Artist and founder of Kidd Pivot (IDFB 2014) Crystal Pite’s Solo Echo is inspired by Brahms’ sonatas for cello and piano and the poem “Lines for Winter” by Mark Strand; moving from aggression to yearning, from the individual to the collective, travelling the pathways from conflict to acceptance.
