We want to make sure everyone can enjoy B-SIDE Hip-Hop Festival so have put in place the following initiatives to make the festival as accessible as possible.
Access Hubs
Sat 8 Jun
At Hippodrome Square Access Hub – There marquee outside the main doors of the Hippodrome. You can collect ear defenders, colour therapy glasses and fidget toys here. We will also have water, ear plugs, ponchos and water bowls for guide/assistance dogs here.
Chill Out Zone inside the Hippodrome – This will be an internal space that will provide a calm and quiet environment for anyone who needs a break from the festival. This space can be access via both the main doors to Birmingham Hippodrome and Thorp Street Reception.

Accessible viewing point at The Bulling – You will be able to collect ear defenders, ear plugs, fidget toys and colour therapy glasses here.
Access Hosts
We will have Access Hosts at the festival that will be positioned at our Access Hubs on Saturday and at the accessible viewing point at The Bullring on Sunday they can help and support you and your experience at the festival. They will be wearing red T-Shirts.
Accessible Facilities
Car parking/drop off points
Birmingham Hippodrome, with limited disabled parking available on Hurst Street and Thorp Street. The Arcadian Centre Car Park has specially allocated bays with easy access to street level and only about 150 yds to our entrance.
The Bullring, the closest car parks are Bullring and Grand Central Moor Street Car Park and Bullring and Grand Central Edgbaston Street Car Park. Both have accessible parking.
Toilets
Birmingham Hippodrome – We have accessible and all gender toilets as well as baby change facilities at The Hippodrome. We do not have a changing places or hoist.
The Bullring – There are accessible toilets at The Bullring. There are also baby changing facilities and a changing places.

Break Mission Worldwide Dance Championships: Breakin’ Qualifiers, Main House – Birmingham Hippodrome, 11am-1pm and 6pm-7pm.
Break Mission Worldwide and Queer-Side Dance Championships: All styles, Hip Hop and Waacking Qualifiers, Hippodrome Square (outside Birmingham Hippodrome), 2pm-4pm and 5pm-6pm (including our Curtain Raiser Performance with Young Dancers at 2pm & 5pm)
You can pick up AD headset from our Access Hub outside the main doors of Birmingham Hippodrome.

Break Mission Worldwide and Queer-Side Dance Championships Finals: Breakin’/All Styles & Hip Hop/Waacking, Bullring & Grand Central (lower west – outside Marks and Spencer) 1:30pm-6pm
You can pick up AD headset from the Accessible Viewing Point.
