We’ve smashed our target and raised £28,988 through the Big Give!
Thank you to everyone who has donated, we’ve raised an incredible £26,248 including associated Gift aid through the Big Give online portal.
We are thrilled to share that local Trusts the Bishop of Birmingham Charitable Trust and The Patrick Trust have donated a further £2,750 following the campaign bringing our grand total to an amazing £28,988!
This means that over 5,250 young people will now get the chance to participate, perform or enjoy the magic of live performance, thanks to the generosity of our wonderful donors’.
Why?
We have one of the youngest cities in Europe, and 40% of Birmingham’s population live in some kind of poverty. Together with cuts to school budgets, many young people have never had the chance to engage with the theatre and the arts.
Who?
The donations secured mean that over 5,250 young people will get the chance to experience live theatre in 2020. Working with 32 Schools across Birmingham & the West Midlands, we will ensure those with the least access get the chance to see a show, perform on our stage, or take part in creative workshops. This supports young people to develop confidence and life skills.
What?
The Big Give is an online match funding campaign where you can see your donation doubled. Donations of up to £20,000 have been doubled by the Big Give. The Big Give’s record-breaking campaign, which ran from 03-10 December 2019, generated over £15 million in vital funding for good causes across the country, matching donations pound for pound until the funding pot was empty.
