What is the On the Day Postcode scheme?
Everyone’s welcome at Birmingham Hippodrome and we want to encourage more of our local neighbours to visit our theatre and experience the magic of live performance.
Our on-the-day scheme is for residents living in postcodes B6, B9, B10, B11 and B21.
These postcodes have been picked because our booking records show that communities living in these postcodes have some of the lowest theatre attendance rates in Birmingham. In the future, we shall look to extend this scheme to other postcodes in the city.
How does the scheme work?
Residents living in eligible postcodes can buy tickets at our standby rate (if available) up to 24 hours in advance of a performance.
To redeem the rates, phone 0121 689 3000 or pop in to the theatre up to 24 hours ahead of the performance.
Each resident can buy up to two tickets at the standby rate and must provide proof of residence when collecting their tickets (we accept a driving licence or utility bill within the last 3 months).
The usual standby rate is:
- Auditorium productions – best available seats at the lowest available price
- Patrick Studio productions – £10 per person
